Worship Hour

At Alpine Community Church we regard worship as the most important thing we do. We come together every Sunday to celebrate God's love and forgiveness in our lives. Through reading the scriptures, singing the hymns, and listening to the sermon we attempt to discern not only how God has acted in the past, but how God is acting now in our time. As we seek to bring our lives into reconciliation with God's purposes as demonstrated in the life of Jesus Christ. From our worship comes our mission to minister to the needs of our congregation and community, motivating our selves with love, faith, and hope.
It is also in and through worship that we find spiritual community and offer support and compassion to one another. That community is not closed. It is open to all who wish to enter it.
Every Sunday morning members and friends gather to worship through prayer, song and sermon. The first Sunday of each month the Sacrament of Communion is observed, and all are welcome to take part. Special services and events are scheduled during Advent, Christmas, Lent and Easter. Children begin worship with their families as they are greeted by an usher and handed a bulletin designed especially for them. They are then invited to the chancel area for conversation with the pastor. Following this sharing time they go to classes
Care for Infants, Toddlers and Preschoolers occurs in our Children's Center and Nursery located near Fuller Hall and a short distance from the Sanctuary.. The Center is bright, secure and has a separate room for infants.
Music
The Sanctuary Choir
The Alpine Community Church Sanctuary Choir consists of volunteer singers who
enliven worship with a variety of music.
The Sanctuary Choir presents anthems during Sunday worship services throughout the year. Additionally, it offers recital performances each year, often with orchestra.
Alpine Community Church has been blessed with two choirs to enhance our worship services. We have the Chancel Choir and Handbell Choir.
We also are graced by other special music throughout the year - men's quartet, women's quartet, duets, soloists, violin soloist, flute soloist, etc. Each one adds something special to our worship experience.
Please join us. We welcome new members.

The Children's Music Program
Children are a joyful part of special church celebrations such as Palm Sunday, Easter, and Pentecost. Participation may include children's choirs, processions, drama, or art presentations.
One Sunday a month our elementary age children lead the congregation in a piece
of music for worship. The children practice every Friday afternoon..
